چکیده
This work investigates the transformation, release and fate of inorganic matter during fluidised bed gasification poultry litter also mixed with limestone as an additive. The litter, cyclone ash were characterised by means chemical fractionation analysis, well X-ray diffraction. Concurrently, species feedstock was measured in separate laboratory experiments using molecular beam mass spectrometry. In addition, FactSage used to predict formation gaseous composition solid residues from under equilibrium conditions. On average, accounts for 4.6 wt% 12.4 total fed into reactor. All phosphorous (P) present stable phosphates, while potassium (K) both mainly H2O leachable KCl, organically associated phosphates silicates. Furthermore, assessment made against appropriate criteria, whether ashes can be categorised component materials EU fertiliser products.

Biomass gasification with NiO/Olivine catalysts in fluidised bed gasifier
Tar removal from biomass gasification gas is a crucial problem in applying syngas from biomass for its downstream applications. Catalytic biomass gasification has given promising results for tar cracking. A few research groups have investigated the use of olivine for tar cracking [2,3,4,7,8,9,10]. The presence of oxides of iron and magnesium in the mineral olivine give it the ability to crack h...
متن کاملEmissions modeling of fluidised bed co-combustion of poultry litter and peat.
Gaseous emissions from the fluidised bed co-combustion of 50% w/w chicken litter and peat were monitored and recorded. Emission data were used to create a dispersion model for a proposed site on a poultry farm in Ireland. Variables within the combustion unit influenced both combustion and emission levels of pollutants such as SO(2) and NO(x), CO. Concentrations of atmospheric pollutants decreas...
متن کاملA semi-empirical model for pressurised air-blown fluidised-bed gasification of biomass
A process model for pressurised fluidised-bed gasification of biomass was developed using Aspen Plus simulation software. Eight main blocks were used to model the fluidised-bed gasifier, complemented with FORTRAN subroutines nested in the programme to simulate hydrocarbon and NH3 formation as well as carbon conversion. The model was validated with experimental data derived from a PDU-scale test...
متن کاملFluidised bed drying of soybeans.
The fluidised bed drying characteristics of soybeans at high temperatures (110-140 degrees C) and moisture contents, 31-49% dry basis, were modelled using drying equations from the literature. Air speeds of 2.4-4.1 m/s and bed depths from 10 to 15 cm were used. The minimum fluidised bed velocity was 1.9 m/s. From a quality point of view, fluidised bed drying was found to reduce the level of ure...
متن کاملLiquid transportation fuels via large-scale fluidised-bed gasification of lignocellulosic biomass
With the objective of gaining a better understanding of the system design tradeoffs and economics that pertain to biomass-to-liquids processes, 20 individual BTL plant designs were evaluated based on their technical and economic performance. The investigation was focused on gasification-based processes that enable the conversion of biomass to methanol, dimethyl ether, Fischer-Tropsch liquids or...
